🧠 1. Daily active listening

💡 What is it?

You listen to 100% French content: podcasts, videos, TV shows — even if you don’t understand everything.

🎯 Why does it work?

→ You train your ear

→ You get used to natural expressions

→ You recognize structures you can reuse later

📌 Tip: Choose content you enjoy and listen to it several times. It’s like a song — eventually, you’ll know it by heart!

đŸ§© 2. Use full sentences, not isolated words

💡 What is it?

Instead of learning the word “boire”, learn the full sentence: “Tu veux boire quelque chose ?” (Do you want something to drink?)

🎯 Why does it work?

→ You speak more naturally

→ You’re more fluent

→ You don’t need to build each sentence in your head

📌 Tip: Create a small notebook with your “survival kit”: useful everyday phrases. For example: “Je peux poser une question ?” (Can I ask a question?), “C’est combien ?” (How much is it?)

🗣 3. Speak regularly (even alone!)

💡 What is it?

You speak out loud every day. With a partner, in a class, or even in front of your mirror.

🎯 Why does it work?

→ You gain confidence

→ You get used to thinking in French

→ You notice where you’re blocked

📌 Example: Every evening, tell the story of your day out loud in French. Even just for 2 minutes. It’s super powerful.

🎧 4. Correct yourself (or get corrected)

💡 What is it?

You record yourself, listen back, and spot your mistakes. Or you ask a teacher for help.

🎯 Why does it work?

→ You notice what needs improvement

→ You avoid repeating the same mistakes

→ You progress much faster

📌 Tip: You can use apps or join a conversation class to get kind, helpful feedback.

🚀 5. Shadowing (the most effective method)

💡 What is it?

You listen to a native speaker and repeat at the same time. You copy the intonation, rhythm, and pronunciation.

🎯 Why does it work?

→ You get used to the sounds of French

→ You improve your accent and fluency

→ You develop automatic responses without going through your native language

📌 Example: Watch a short video, turn on the subtitles, and repeat exactly what the person says. It’s like a workout for your mouth!
